This module was designed for EDTECH 521 and takes place in a course about fiction.  It was designed to help students learn get inside the minds of their characters.

This module incorporates resources and activities to help students get used to thinking internally by helping them get in the heads of fictional characters.

This course unit deals with writing interior monologues.  It starts with a description of the unit and offers an shot opening video as a hook to grab the learners attention.

After it has a presentation housed in VoiceThread that the students can watch that I narrate.  They also have options to watch it on VoiceThread’s website or download a PDF file of the slides only.

Reseources come next that include a short story, an informative website and a video.

Since the unit involves writing an interior monologue on one character from Beowulf, there are resources to help the students understand and get through Beowulf.

Next comes information on how to create and present the monologues they create to their peers.  This is not just a writing assignment but a presentation as well.  Software and websites ideas are provided for the final presentation as well as a rubric on how they will be evaluated.  Finally, there is a self-evaluation form in which they get to talk about what they did and why they mad the creative choices they made.

Last is the to-do list of tasks for this module.  This helps students stay organized.
