The module was created as part of EDTECH 522 – Online Learning for Adult Learners. It is the second module in a screen writing course that focuses on, The Scene. It includes activities that help screen writers develop fictional scenes, workshop those scenes, convert them to screen writing format and then workshop those. As a final project in the module, students create their scene in a digital screen writing application that creates computer animation based upon their dialogue and screen direction.
You can see the opening page here that describes the unit and provides the objectives.
The schedule and module sections are shown here. There are six units in this module that include writing a fictional scene, workshopping that scene in a Facebook group, converting that scene and feedback into a screen play. The screenplay is also workshopped in the Facebook group. This all culminates with the use of Plotagon’s scene creation software. It creates a computer animated screen based upon your screen play.
This course module was designed in a unique theme for Moodle which opened each unit in a dynamic HTML window. You can see the first section below. This DHTML windows displays the description of the unit and unit learning resources like links and videos.
The DHTML windows also have links to the assignments and other resources.
